The Spoon Portrait Exhibit officially came to a close today. It was an exciting time of learning and sharing. Thanks, Joanne Lang for inspiring us to rise to the challenge. And thank you to the following galleries for their support Dare County Arts Center, Chowan Arts Council, River Walk, Perquimans Art League, Martin County Art, Arts of the Albemarle, you were wonderful hosts. Thank you to Deane and Bailey Phelps for doing our show card design and overseeing the printing and a big thank you to each member (and their friends and family who helped) who transported the show from venue to venue.
In the spirit of not letting moss grow, we are in the middle of a new challenge, "Linked". Each member was encouraged to create 15 links of similar design that reflected their art making interest. Today we unveiled many of the links and each of those presented selected one of the links with which to create a new piece. Below are some images from the fun.
