Narrative Brooch

Tell Your Story: A Narrative Brooch” Instructor Kathryn Osgood

What We Will Do:
In this workshop we will use imagery to create a brooch that tells a story. This is your opportunity to create a keepsake or memory of a special person or place. In this class, we will explore various techniques to incorporate images in our work including image transfer and etching. We will learn to fabricate a pin finding to complete our brooch.
Inspiration
Bring images that inspire you and photos of people or places that are significant to you and be ready to create a brooch that tells a story. Your story may be about a favorite aunt, a fictional character, an event such as the birth of a child or grandchild, a favorite vacation trip or a moment in history.
Process
Make a few quick notes about your favorite person or special event to help with your selection of photos and mementos for your design. Bring your notes, images and mementos to the workshop for a fun creative weekend and leave with a personal piece of narrative jewelry that tells your story.
