What a wonderful group of metal smiths you are! I sat at our August meeting and watched and listened as you planned, shared and dreamed about the upcoming New World Arts Festival.
It is hard enough to plan your booth as an artist when it is only your thoughts about design, what is important and unimportant, and how to show just how wonderful the jewelry is to wear. But when a group of artists come together to plan a group show it can be down right daunting. Then to be brave and dedicated enough to actually put the plan into action.
Put it into action you did. It was hot, no lets be real, it was very hot and humid but you stayed the course and sold the work you spent hours making only to share 40% of the sale with other artists. Tuesday night Connie, Dottie, Jennifer, Valda, Larry and Dianne got the tent up and tables placed. Connie you are an amazing partner in every job that needed doing. Wednesday found Dottie, Connie, Valda and Jennifer in the heat making it all look good.
Then today when I went to help pack up the show I found Jennifer, Connie and Donna with most of the set up broken down and packed due to the approaching thunder and lighting. What a way to end a show! Bettie was next to us doing the same with one of the COA booths.
While there were a few mutters, your jaws were set, you were looking forward and you were determined to get everyone's things safely packed away. Thank you.
I am looking forward to hearing the sales total, it will be a fun check to write to the Tool Box Initiative!
