Enameling and Die Forming Workshop at College of The Albemarle June 13-14, 10am - 5pm.
Instructor: Kathryn Osgood
Learn how to add dimension and color to your jewelry pieces! Students will create their own acrylic dies for forming metal and then add color to their formed pieces using vitreous enamels. In this class, we will explore texturing and enameling on a three dimensional surface. Kiln firing and torch firing techniques will be covered. Students will create a rich surface through the use of metal texturing and enameling techniques including sugar firing, layering opaque and transparent enamels and the use of reflective glass beads, microbeads, and sand. Enamel setting techniques will also be covered. Class fee is $100. For more information, contact Kathryn Osgood at kathryn_osgood@albemarle.edu. To register call 473-2264 ext. 7510.
