Hello
Fellow Metal Heads
Here
is what is on the bench for our February Meeting
We
will meet at the home and studio of Dianne Cinkovich from 10:000 am to 4:00 pm.
If you need directions send her an email
at thewatersedgestudio@gmail.com;
Phone: 252-632-4048
Dottie,
Joanne and I have put our heads together and have so much fun planned; we will
want to begin on time.
Several
members attended the ECU Metals Symposium and we would love to hear from you.
We are asking everyone to share one thing from the symposium in one or two
sentences. That way we get to hear from
everyone and have time for the great demos JoAnne and Dottie have planned for
us.
Now
we do not want to leave out our personal victories or challenges. If you have a work to share, a show experience,
or other information you want to share we are ready to hear, to learn and to
support.
Joanne
will demonstrate a new and exciting way to do salt water etching without a
battery. We will have the opportunity to
learn how to create our own during the work time.
If
you think you might want to make your own setup, bring a cell phone
wall-charging unit with you. Joanne will
provide all other necessary items.
Dottie
will demonstrate a great new and easy way to create hinges. Hinges, easy?? Yes, Dottie says with a smile.
We
will take a quick lunch break, I know we have enjoyed the Noth’in Fancy CafĂ©
and the Soda Shoppe we can do either one.
Work
time:
Joanne
will show us the results of the salt water etch she began during her demo. And
we can make our own units. To help
things move along bring a solder iron with you if you have one.
For
those who want to try making a hinge this time is for you.
I
will have my sand blaster ready for anyone who would like to use it.
Other
project work
I am excited about the information above! What a great meeting we will have.
