We met on January 5th at Dianne Cinkovich's home and studio in Edenton, NC.
We began as usual with a business meeting and discussion. Several members shared information about upcoming shows and venues for selling jewelry. The guild members in attendance decided the guild will not be collecting dues in 2013, unless a need arises. We broke for lunch and visited the gallery of CAC (Chowan Arts Council), which displays and sells the work of several guild members. In the afternoon, Hilary Anderson demonstrated the use of a pancake or blanking die and a small hydraulic press to create multiple shapes fairly quickly. She, Joanne Lang and Valda Belyeu discussed what they learned about this process in a Jayne Redman workshop.

The ECU Symposium proved to informative an inspiring as always. Guild members enjoyed listening to lectures, attending workshops and seeing the work on display in the various exhibits.
Here is a slide show of images I took while at the symposium. If any other members have images to share, please do so and provide a link in the comment section below.
Don't forget to bring your design for a spoon to the February meeting!
