Stan sent this image of "our" #61 Hammer being used in Peru! How cool. Thanks, Valda for getting the hammer to Stan before he left. I wonder what he will do next with it?

Have you started making plans for how you will use the hammer? Joanne, will you send this image along to the Hammer project coordinators?
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I just got back from Peru...unfortunately my laptop didn't. It holds all of the AWESOME pictures chronicalling the exploits of # 61. It will return stateside around the 15th of Aug. via a colleague so only then will I be able to forward the all important slideshow to send to the "100 Hammers" blog. Sorry for the inconvience, it's amazing how dependent I've become of my laptop.
ReplyDeleteConcerning the prospects of holding a September guild meeting here in New Bern at my studio, it's looking good....when I mentioned it to Marty, she gave a positive response and even to the possibility of making it a weekend event since everybody has to travel so far. We have a guest apartment over the studio and since our kids are scattered all over the map now, we have plenty of empty beds. If anybody chooses to do a fused glass project, it will require an overnight firing or for the more advanced project, another day to get it to the firing stage, in which case I can fire later and make sure they get to Columbia for pick-up. All of the other tools will be available for any metal, wood, stone, glass, junk, etc. project.
Is there a weekend in September that's better for everybody and how many members will attend? If anybody can provide feedback, Marty and I will try to accommodate the weekend selection after checking our calender. Sounds like a fun weekend. Bring your fishing rods, kayaks, canoes, etc. and lawn chairs as we live on the a river.
Let me know......Stan
Looks like the weekend of the 10th will be the best weekend for us to have the meeting at my place. Now we just need to get an idea of how many people will come. Thanks, Stan
ReplyDeleteFantastic!! I know of five who replied right away but we will know more after the meeting on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI know several had mentioned fusing glass as a perference. Just let us know what to bring and about any cost.
Shall I organize food for pot lucks, etc?
