And Here's More From Kathryn!

Join Kathryn Osgood on September 19-21 at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts- as she teaches a dynamic class in Color, Texture and Form: Working with Opaques

Add dimension to your work as we explore the relationship of color, texture and form using the wonderful color palette of opaque enamels. In this workshop, we will create dimensional forms in copper using dapping, die forming and fold forming techniques as a starting point. We will then manipulate these forms further by texturing and piercing metal.

Using opaque enamels we will experiment with shading, stencils, sgraffito, over firing, sugar firing and the use of seed beads to build up a rich surface texture on our pieces. Techniques for setting finished enamel pieces using cold connections will be covered.
