Kathryn Osgood's Cloisonne Workshop
Just got home from a wonderful weekend in Columbia at Kathryn Osgood's Cloisonne Workshop. There were only 3 students but that meant more kiln time for all of us. Made some wonderful enamels - now I need to set them. We did a little experimenting - ask Annemarie about raku firing enamels. Thanks Kathryn for a great time.

Sounds like a great time. So, when do we get to see pictures or will you bring them to the next meeting?
ReplyDeleteThanks to Kathryn for giving the cloisonne workshop, we all had great success. It was something I have been wanting to try and I will do it again. Maybe the guild can have an emameling day at Pocosin Arts, when the classes aren't running. We can even try the Raku process, Kathryn and I did a small piece with exposed copper areas and it developed a nice luster on the exposed areas. It was great fun!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to hear about the Raku experience. Are you bringing samples to the next meeting?
