We will meet on August 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Pocosin Arts in Columbia, NC. We have all been very busy but I have missed being with my fellow metal formers. Can't wait to hear and see what you have been doing.
Did you see the great article about the one and only Bruce Barnett?
Bring your work and needed tools to this Open Work time. The business meeting will be very short. Don't forget your lunch and something to drink. Of course there are always the delicious box lunches available next door for $5.00.
I am challening myself with using scrap to create rings. Who knows what they may look like. But I am bringing scrap and my goal is five rings at days end.

Remember that if you plan to use the torch you need to set it up along with the pickle pot. If you are not comfortable there is always someone who is helping to help.
ReplyDeleteHey everybody! I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the meeting tomorrow. I have contractor coming to install the exhaust hood in my studio. It's the only day he can make it. If we get done in time, I'll try to come over in the afternoon. If I don't make it tomorrow, I'll see you all soon. Bruce
ReplyDeleteIt was a great meeting on Saturday. We talked, laughed and worked. Ron took images for those who wanted them and shared jewelry shot advice. Valda taught some basic wire wrapping for those wanting another technique in their pocket, this came out of need to spruce up some beaded necklaces.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron and Valda!
