We've Just Begun...

It was a great first meeting. I walked out encouraged, excited and with a design for a project that has eluded me for several months. Now on to finishing my studio space and creating the prototype.

I really appreciate Hilary and Bruce's hardwork in getting us started.

  1. Diane, great job setting up this blog! Maureen is helping me figure it out. We're working on a membership form, with information about the $25.00 annual dues. Maureen can make up membership cards the size of a business card, to be given out upon payment of dues. We'll run all this by folks for input. Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Bruce

  3. Good morning. The membership cards sound great. I wonder if we should assign a distinct number to each card for easy record keeping of renewls? Maureen probably has experience with this topic. It is like we get an additional member, lucky us!
I would love to put up some images. Ron, would you be able to email me a copy of the image you took on Saturday? Then if you all have other images of your work, of you in workshops.....we can make this an interesting spot to chat.

  10. The blog is looking good. I would like to see images of others peoples work on it before it goes public. I will be happy to photograph works of guild members at no charge. My goal is to become proficient and consistent at capturing quality images of our art work. If any one is interested please get in touch by my email, phone or blog.

  11. Great Ron! I will surely take you up on that offer. Getting images ready for show applications is such an important part of the process. I will bring a piece with me to our Demeber meeting.

  12. Dianne, The gallery looks great. Nice pieces you have there and the images are professional looking. Did you do then yourself or did you employ a pro? I have spoken with Hilary about shooting her work. We Plan to do It Wednesday of next week. If any one else would the participate please let me know.

  13. I can not tell you how wonderful it is to open this blog and to see what you have created. Welcome to Pocosin Arts PAMG!

I'd like to talk to you on Saturday during your lunch meeting about a possible grant to establish a metalsmith apprenticeship program.

I'll send a link to the grant program information if you'd like to do some background research. All the best, Feather

I am looking forward to hearing about the possible metalsmith apprentice program. Thank you for the links, I will take a look so that I can listen better.

  16. I have some ideas but really need the guild members to design what an apprenticeship program might look like and what the possible demands for contract work from professional studios might be.

I look forward to the dialogue.

See you Sat at lunch time.

    Feather
